Level Up Hybrid Summit - 8 December 2023

etc. venues Bishopsgate, 155 Bishopsgate, London EC2M 3YD

In 2022, WeAreTechWomen introduced our new Level Up Summit, which was a resounding success. Forty companies, 475 in-person delegates, and 1,300 virtual participants gathered at the QEII centre to hear from incredible speakers and discuss our “Barriers for Women in Tech” research. We hosted three auditoriums offering thought leadership around the barriers faced by women in tech, the need for role models, male allies, sponsorship and alternative career paths. We also provided career skills sessions on imposter syndrome, resilience and public speaking. In addition, our delegates were able to visit our busy exhibition village to interact with our sponsors, on-site coaches, brand coaches, charities and social media experts. There were over 8,500 connections made throughout the day via the use of our Blendology name badges which facilitated networking throughout the breaks and as part of our speed networking and speed mentoring exercises.

This year, we anticipate 400 mid-level (7+ years) women in tech and male allies will attend the 2023 Level Up Summit to discuss key topics to progress the careers of women in tech. This year’s summit focuses on understanding the impact of intersectionality, the way in which different elements of our identity overlap and interact, and how aspects of a person’s identity combine to create different and multiple differences and areas of privilege. How understanding intersectionality allows us to create cultures of growth and space for progression. We will explore intersectional leadership, eliminating bias in our processes and using data to highlight areas for improvement. We will also deep dive into the importance of allyship, privilege and how to maximise sponsorship for all.

Throughout the day, we will be providing keynotes, panels, personal stories and ample opportunities for the audience to engage via our sl.ido polls and Q&A’s. Our sponsors will have the opportunity to meet with our guests through our exhibition village and build their own communities post-conference through our innovative Blendology smart badges.
